What type of scaler do I have?
This page is designed to assist you in selecting the appropriate scaler tips for your scaler handpiece. There are various types of piezo scaler tips available, but at iM3, we primarily offer two common types known as Ultra tips and P6 tips.
Use our visual guide on this page to easily identify which tips are compatible with your scaler handpiece.
Ultra Scaler Fitting Handpieces
If your handpiece matches any of the images above, then you want Ultra fitting scaler tips.
Some of our newer scaler handpieces have a square marking to identify them as Ultra fitting.
P4 & P6 Scaler Fitting Handpieces
If your handpiece matches any of the images above, then you want P4 & P6 fitting scaler tips.
Some of our newer scaler handpieces have an oval marking to identify them as P4 & P6 fitting.
42-12 Scaler Fitting
Scaler tips for the 42-12 are a different technology to piezo tips, and look obviously different. Our available tips for 42-12 can be found here.
