Description

VetCAT – Cone Beam CT

High-quality 3D imaging is invaluable for accurate diagnosis and treatment. VetCAT is a cone beam CT scanner designed specifically for use by veterinarians and clinic staff.

Compact and portable, VetCAT is ideal for a veterinary clinic setting. Its small size makes it easy to store and access as needed. With 4-wheel steering that turns on a dime, VetCAT can be quickly rolled into position for on-demand scans. It’s user-friendly and delivers scans in under one minute. Since VetCAT is self-shielded, there’s often no need for a dedicated scanning room or costly shielding infrastructure.

VetCAT produces high-quality, fully 3D images with submillimeter resolution and geometrical accuracy superior to that of multi-slice, full-body CT scanners.

Designed for intraoperative use, VetCAT allows you to visualize surgical margins precisely and confirm the completeness of your procedure before closure.

Medical head and neck surgeons report that using Xoran’s CT technology leads them to change their original surgical plans or intraoperative decisions in 25–30% of cases.

While traditional CT technology offers high-quality 3D imaging, full-sized CT scanners are expensive and often impractical in veterinary clinics. Outsourcing patients to remote imaging providers causes delays in diagnosis and treatment—and adds stress for both the pet and the owner. VetCAT puts you in control—delivering high-quality imaging at the point of care.

VetCAT provides a fast, easy-to-use, non-invasive tool to accurately assess your patient’s condition in real time during exams.

Discover conditions that might otherwise go unnoticed. Unlike 2D X-ray systems, which offer only planar views, VetCAT enables you to examine anatomy in all three planes—providing a comprehensive understanding of your patient’s condition and better informing your clinical approach. With high-resolution 3D imaging, you can minimize uncertainty, streamline workflow, and improve treatment outcomes.

Once a diagnosis and treatment plan are in place, VetCAT also makes it easy to share images with pet owners—helping them better understand their pet’s condition. This fosters trust and empowers them to authorize treatment and support post-treatment care with greater confidence and compliance.

Testimonials

Dr. Sue McTaggart, DVM, Dean Park Pet Hospital in North Saanich, British Columbia

"I was blown away by the ability of the VetCAT cone beam CT to pick up hidden lesions. New worlds have opened up and I'm grateful to have this technology—it's amazing what gets revealed that would have been missed. My dental prowess has greatly improved as a result."

Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt, Veterinary Dental Specialist at Veterinary Medical Center at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota

"We use the [VetCAT] images for surgical planning, as far as measuring and making sure we’re getting the margins we need; but it’s really nice when you’re thinking of things in 3D and you can use this 3D recon tool, and the image comes out beautifully.”

Dr. Mike Canfield, DVM, DACVD, Animal Dermatology South in St. Petersburg, FL

“Xoran’s VetCAT is a huge advantage for my practice and patients. I am able to diagnose patients quickly and offer treatments to owners within the same visit. It’s a virtuous cycle of better patient care and client satisfaction.”

Dr. Munir Kureshi, DVM, Cupertino Animal Hospital in Cupertino, CA

“We are excited to use cutting-edge technology. With VetCAT, I can finally see XRs in three dimensions. It is easy to use and makes me a better Doctor.”

Dr. Kris Bannon, DVM, FAVD, DAVDC, Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery of NM, LLC in Algodones, MN

“Although the radiograph hinted at a displaced tooth, with VetCAT I could see the exact location of the displaced canine and the severity of the extensive damage from the cyst that had formed around it.”

Dr. Ben Colmery, DVM, Board Certified Veterinary Oral Surgeon and Dentist, Dixboro, MI

“I purchased the VetCAT, it was not loaned or given to me. It is Amazing! It has made a big difference on how I manage oral tumors.”
