Used to smoothen rough enamel edges and prevent further fracture of damaged enamel, as well as odontoplasty, shaping, and smooth/finish restorations.
Friction grip (FG) burs are typically used in high-speed handpieces. iM3 recommends disposing of burs between each patient or if they become dull during long procedures, to reduce turbine wear on the high-speed handpiece. These burs are intended for single use, and the cost should be factored into each procedure.
